Advance Wars was always able to scratch my turn-based strategy itch. It's fun to play on easier
modes if you're just looking to blow some tanks up but on the harder difficulties it will really challenge every move and decision you make. They do a great job of keeping it simple throughout the sequels it seems by restraining themselves from just adding hordes of new units for each sequel. Helps keep the game balanced so you need to use almost every unit at your disposal in some capacity to get the job done.
In Dual strike they introduce a few new units like a freaking MEGATANK! Check this thing out, it is just shy of untouchable. They keep it balanced though and give it low ammo capacity and short travel range. They also use both screens on the DS in that some missions require you to fight battles "on two fronts". You'll have one Commander character in charge of the battle on the top screen which you can leave automated or control yourself, and then the main battle will be on the bottom screen. Losing the second front won't fail the mission but it will make the main battle a bit more challenging to finish off.
As always it comes with the pass around multiplayer, the War Room with several pre set maps and enemies to clear but it also added another time sensitive multiplayer. Basically you'll have a set number of maps to clear with certain enemies and obstacles but you'll only have a finite number of
game turns to complete the entire campaign. It's tough.
See our Marketplace/Contact Us page up top to see what handheld platforms and games we have posted right now in our inventory and remember if there is something specific you're looking just email us. I suppose if you wanted this copy of Dual Strike I would part with it for you to enjoy as well.
